St Philips’ Chris Peto is off on a bike ride to raise money for good causes. Here’s what he has to say…
I am doing a sponsored cycle ride over 300 miles in 4 days during July. We are cycling between the 2005 Ashes grounds starting on Sunday morning at Old Trafford in Manchester and making our way down to London to finish at Lord’s and the Oval on Wednesday evening.
I need to raise a minimum of £1,000 with 50% going to each of two charities:
- Lord’s Taverners who work with disabled and disadvantaged young people all over the country. Me and my colleagues in Sheffield are specifically raising money to buy an adapted mini-bus for a local primary school for children with complex needs. Coincidentally one of Joseph’s friends goes to the school so we know this is a great local cause to support.
- Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice – this hospice does fantastic work throughout South Yorkshire with families going through the toughest of times.

If you would like to sponsor me that would be much appreciated.
